Kacie Sienko sets new area track record

Langhorne resident and Our Lady of Grace eighth grader, Kacie Sienko, set a new record for Long Jump at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Area C CYO Track Championship on May 21st, with a leap of 16′ 1.25″.

The previous record of 15′ 10.75″ was set in 2004 by Kerri Nash from Sts. Joseph/Robert Catholic School in Warrington.

Kacie also placed first in shot put (34′ 11.5″), second in high jump (4′ 10″), and fourth with the 4×100 Relay team (56.77), which qualified her to compete in all four events at the Archdiocesan CYO Track Championships held at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania on June 3rd.

At Franklin Field she placed second in long jump (16′ 9.5″ – personal best), second in shot put (35′ 8.5″ personal best), and fourth in high jump (4′ 6″).

Kacie will attend Archbishop Wood High School in the fall, where she plans to participate in basketball and spring track and field.
