Allie Weiner and Ellen Kravchenko receive ‘Partnership in Education’ awards from FCP

Two Council Rock High School students are among 19 area students who have been awarded $1,000 college scholarships for their commitment and dedication to community service.

Foundations Community Partnership presented its annual Partnership in Education Award to Allie Weiner, a senior at Council Rock High School North, and Ellen Kravchenko, a senior at Council Rock High School South.

FCP presents awards to graduating high school seniors in the Bucks County region, who demonstrate an interest in community service, possess quality of character and have superior academic performance.

Allie plans on attending Temple University and Ellen will attend Duquesne University.

The students were either nominated by their guidance counselor or a member of the school’s administration for the award.

The FCP Partnership in Education program recognizes the achievements of Bucks County public and technical high school seniors, who are also recognized at their commencement activities honoring outstanding students. FCP itself provides grants and technical assistance to non-profits, subsidizes internships for college students as well as awarding scholarships to Bucks County high school seniors.

“We recognize high school students who are developing meaningful roles in the community and working toward positive change,” said Ronald Bernstein, FCP Executive Director. “Our scholarship winners have been active in community service and we encourage them to continue their good works.”
