On Friday, March 10th, Conwell-Egan Catholic (CEC) High School’s third MiniTHON kicked off with a day dedicated to promoting excitement throughout the school with a MiniTHON theme to raise awareness and funds for Pediatric Cancer research.
At the end of the school day, the event officially began with a pep rally that included fun and games for the participants.
Throughout the rest of the day, CEC students welcomed guest speakers who spoke of their own personal battles with cancer, and even local schools/students came to watch as CEC students pledged their time to raising funds and awareness in the fight against pediatric cancer.
The event concluded with the popular “Glow Dance!” where students danced it out for the rest of the night and finally revealed their total donations raised a record $20,714.72!
Congratulations to all the hardworking students, staff, and volunteers of CEC MiniTHON on a successful event!
