New singers welcomed at the Pennsbury Community Chorus

The Pennsbury Community Chorus, now in its 17th season, is an amateur choral ensemble including singers who have excellent solo voices and others whose voices blend well in singing challenging works.

The Chorus is under the direction of Artistic Director James D. Moyer, who is co-founder of the Community Chorus along with Mr. John McDonnell.

James is Director of Choral Activities at Pennsbury High School and serves as Director of Music at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, NJ.

The Community Chorus meets Monday evenings for rehearsal at Keller Hall in the Pennsbury High School West Campus, 608 S. Olds Boulevard, Fairless Hills.

In prior years, the group has also performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

The Chorus always welcomes new singers to their rehearsals beginning Monday, February 6th, in preparation for a concert on Saturday, May 6th, featuring treasures of British Choral Music, including Sir Arthur Sullivan’s Festival Te Deum and festive choral music by James Whitbourn, Paul Mealor, Meuryn Hughes, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Benjamin Britten and others.

Interested singers should visit their website at pennsburycommunitychorus.org and e-mail Mr. Moyer at jmoyer@pennsburysd.org.
