On May 31st, New Hope-Solebury High School guidance counselor Ms. Hebat El-Turky (left) and principal Mrs. Christina Lang (right) presented senior Ashley Henry (center) with a 2012 Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA) Scholarship.
The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association annually awards six one-year scholarships to worthy high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a communications field.
Out of 22 students who applied, Ashley was one of two students from the east region to receive the $500 award.
“The selection committee was impressed by her future plans to attend West Chester University to study communications, her school and community service activities (Yearbook, Newspaper, Radio Internship and church mission trips) and her essay which explained her passion for communications,” stated the PenSPRA president, Vicki Flotta.
