Stephen Robert Emerson, beloved son of Harriette and the late Robert Emerson of Churchville, died suddenly in a traffic accident Tuesday morning June 19th near New Orleans, Louisiana.
Stephen was born in Berwyn, Pennsylvania but lived in Churchville for 20 years, graduating from Council Rock High School in 1997. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving all over the world including two tours in Iraq with a Marine detachment as a Master at Arms, with his special explosive detecting dog, Dingo. He left the Navy after an eight year tour of duty, and because of his special skills with training Military Working Dogs he was asked to start a canine security program at the New Orleans Joint Reserve base.

Stephen will be remembered for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, mischievous ways to have fun, his exemplary work ethic, high moral values, his willingness to help anyone who needed help and devotion to his family. Emerson and is survived by his loving mother, Harriette, his loving sister Julie and her husband, Rob, of Churchville, his loving sister Lauren and her husband, Don, of Westerly, Rhode Island, The Love of His Life, his devoted partner, Patricia Seiler whom he planned to marry, and many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Military Family.
