Bucks County Academy of Fencing returns to Lambertville

Bucks County Academy of Fencing (BCAF) has returned to its Lambertville location more than seven months after it was damaged in Hurricane Irene.

“While all the projects are not totally completed, everything we need to run classes is there,” said Lisa Martini, co-owner and operations manager.

“We have new bathrooms, our fabulous fencing floor, armory bench, and spectator lounge area.

“We couldn’t have done it without the wonderful volunteer assistance we received during the clean-up, set up at St. Martin’s (the academy’s temporary location in New Hope during repairs) and rebuilding.”

“We’re so happy to be back in our ‘home’ space,” said Mark Holbrow, BCAF’s founder and head fencing master.

“It’s uniquely suited for a fencing club and gives the BCAF some of its special character.

“What surprised me was how anxious our kids were to get back. They really love it!”

Registration is now open for Taste of Fencing courses.
