On Thursday evening, July 21st, Northampton Parks & Recreation held “Northampton’s Got Talent” as part of the 2011 Sights & Sounds of Summer Series, featuring performances from local community children. Ten-year-old Hailey Brown took top honors with the judges for her singing talent, while Amy Bloesch won the overall audience vote. Rachel Reilly captured first runner-up and Logan McCurry took second, both with their dancing skills.
Mairead Young came in third, with Pooja Gupta in fourth place with their singing talent.
Thirteen contestants performed their specialties to a packed audience, showcasing their specialties and passion.
Contest judges, Vince Deon (Vice-Chair, Northampton Township Board of Supervisors), Lynne Kelleher (Chairperson, Northampton Township Business Association), and Jennine Babo (actress, voice and dance instructor) had a difficult time narrowing down the choices as all were worthy of a spot.
Anthony Babo served as Master of Ceremonies.
